Lack of Zodiac – Tele 7” (2002, Norway Rat)
A couple months ago The Dust Bowl made mention of the Norwegian noise-rock group Arabrot, and it jarred my memory about this one off single from Lack of Zodiac who happen to share the same label in Norway Rat. At least I am pretty sure it’s their only single, but I could be wrong and boy it’s a case where I sure would like to be as this single is pretty great. I really don’t know how to explain their sound but in my head I kind of visualize it as if Shellac or Uzeda were forced to cover Orchid for a night and this was the result. It’s very cool stuff regardless, an interesting mixture of styles to say the least.

I’m not going to post the whole single since apparently the Art of the Underground distro still has copies of these for pretty dirt cheap. So yeah, I would suggest picking up a copy if you’re enjoying the tunes above. Enjoy!
