It seems like the first couple weeks of this month absolutely flew by, but then came to screeching halt over the last few days. The culprit to this never ending span of days was my car and laptop which both felt like eating any extra cash I had. However, at least both are in working order now and all is well. It’s been a long and busy week for me, which unfortunately cut into my time to do some updates. Not really too happy about this whole three updates a week thing right now. Every week I fully intend to do more, but time just isn’t allowing it right now…so I apologize. Despite that though, I’ve got the mix for this past month all ready to go for everyone out there to hopefully consume and enjoy over their long weekends. I however will not be having a long weekend, but still should have a rather enjoyable one regardless with plenty of sunshine here in KC. There are a couple or so items here on the mix this month that have been nabbed from various places on the big WWW. If anyone hasn’t checked out the excellent discography from the Slumberland oddities Whorl, then do yourself a favor and hit that up over at icoulddietomorrow. You can also fetch the Leather Anchorite 7″ while you’re there too! The Touch Committee track here is available from the frequently growing online archive of free downloads from Sound as Language, definitely recommend checking that out. The DUSTdevils track that appears here is part of an unreleased EP that is graciously being hosted by the WFMU free music archive. If you got some time to spend, there might not be a better way to spend it than sifting through their archives. And last but not least, the Oxes track comes from a rip of a rare early cassette that has been provided by Chunklet. April is nearing an end, a month which saw me turn a year older…so yay to me I guess. Anyway, that means it’s time to throw up the monthly mix as I prepare to sit around and take full advantage of the Roku players capabilities to stream MLB.tv in my living room this weekend. Since I can’t view Royals games live, I imagine it will be healthy doses of watching Oakland, Colorado, and Tampa Bay this year. Aaaaaaand I’m back. Although it’s a bit later than I had originally expected. I had no idea lining up a time for the cable company to come out here and get me hooked up would be such a hassle. Just glad that’s through with now and can start to enjoy feeling pretty much moved in to my new pad.
