Ideal Cleaners - Muchacho

As far as recommendations go, the latest and second full length entitled Muchacho from the Lincoln Nebraska trio of Ideal Cleaners is one of the better ones I have received this year. I had no idea who Ideal Cleaners were before this, but I sure do now. Released on the Speed! Nebraska label, Muchacho is a great blend of early 90’s indie-rock boosted with a bit of that Touch & Go noisy punch from the same era. There is always something to be respected about a band that is merely about creating rock music without any bullshit thrown in. No purpose other than to make some noise and have a good time while doing it. That’s kind of what Muchacho comes across being; it’s the result of three guys that just want to rock. Good stuff all around that I must say came as a complete surprise to me. Those are always the best kind too, as there are no expectations, or if there is they are generally low and the feeling of disappointment won’t hit you as hard.

If you like what you here, then head on over to the Speed! Nebraska and definitely pick it up. It’s well worth it.

With that said, I’ll be back Monday with regular updates and I am going to begin work for this years BOAWS top 20 records of 2007, which I plan on posting next Friday (21st).
