Molly McGuire – Some Singles…

It’s been a slow couple weeks for the blog. Varying work schedules and the fact the site was down for practically a whole weekend are somewhat to blame. Anyway, I got some spare time tonight and figured I would throw up a couple singles from KC’s Molly McGuire. Actually these singles are both splits, one being with Shiner and the other with Iron Rite Mangle. I think both came out while the band was in between records, but I could be wrong. I also put up the track “Chase”, which as far as I know only appeared on the Kansas City Misery compilation that came out on Red Decibel in ’95. Anyway, enjoy the tunes and hopefully I can get back into some sort of posting routine.
Split w/ Shiner:
Molly McGuire – Exhaust [MP3]
Shiner – Crush [MP3]
Split w/ Iron Rite Mangle:
Molly McGuire – Picture Me [MP3]
Iron Rite Mangle – Wrongathon [MP3]
VA – Kansas City Misery:
Molly McGuire – Chase [MP3]
For anyone interested and don’t already have their albums, there are plenty of copies of both Sisters Of… and Lime available on Amazon.

“Okay, by the time we’re done with this one, there should be a case of Bud up here.” Greatest live quote ever?
Molly McGuire was a wonderful band. What the hell happened to that drummer? He rocked.
Keep up the excellent job of highlighting incredible music.

Jason Gerken moved to San Diego, did a stint with gunfighter, then Kingdom of Snakes, then Open Hand (maybe still?) and a Xtian rock band named Project 86.

There is a great song they played on the radio way back, haven't found it since. "God Country" or something?
