Black Ladies – Naked Caveman 7”
Just got this in the mail a day or so ago and it’s already rocked me plenty. Naked Caveman is the debut single from Chicago’s very own Black Ladies. The single is three meaty pieces of bass and drum noise that certainly demands emphasis with descriptors like “pummeling”. It certainly is just that, keeping the spirits of bands like godheadSilo and Milkmine alive and well. Albeit quick, the songs on Naked Caveman carry more than enough punch to the extent that time is something they probably don’t need to get their point across. While it is definitely loud, the drumming deserves a hefty amount of praise as the skinsman here absolutely goes off making this even more of a treat to listen to. This is the sort of wall shaking and in your face noise that I absolutely love to hear and will gladly let destroy some of the items in my home when turned up on the stereo.

This single is limited to 500 copies and comes in some beautiful and nicely done packaging, along with the very cool looking colored vinyl. Definitely pick this up through Stationary (Heart) if you’re digging what you hear. Well worth it folks.
