Built on a Weak Spot

I’ve been anxiously waiting on some new material from this crazy New Haven, Connecticut based duo ever since hearing their debut album Delirious Insane Ventilator of Bloarzeyd back in early ’07. For anyone not familiar with the ear drum annihilating sounds of Bloarzeyd and consider yourself a fan of noise-rock related material, well then you’re definitely missing out here. Bloarzeyd often operate in the same sludgy noise ridden area of godheadSilo, Cop Shoot Cop, and Crust. Not a bad place to be if you ask me. Anyway, this new release from the band puts a heavy emphasis on the word “new” by not just naming the EP New but by titling every track in some variation of “The New Song”. You’ll see what I am talking about if you pick up the disc, and I most definitely recommend you do. But anyway, the five songs contained on this EP produce a wonderfully thick low end blast that unleashes some serious power coming out a set of larger speakers. It’s sure to satisfy that thirst for some dirty noise.
