Crown Roast – George 7” (1995, Unclean)
Before Craig Clouse packed up and left Austin, Texas to move to London where he eventually formed the excellent noise making goliath TODD, he was in another band that managed to create quite a racket as well named Crown Roast. The band wasn’t around for a very long time, but did put out a couple singles and a full-length titled A Nose Has Many Jobs through the Austin based Unclean Records in 1994.
For today’s update here is one of the two singles the band released, the George 7-inch to be specific. For those of you that are fans of TODD’s brand of disorienting noise-rock you will definitely want to give this a listen. The flipside is the band covering the Drunks With Guns tune “Enemy”, which is executed in full on lo-fi blown out glory.
