Hardvark – Dress 7” (1993, Mud)
Nothing rare here by any means, however I doubt many have had a chance to listen to the couple songs that appeared here on this Hardvark single that didn’t make it on to their only full-length, Memory Barge in 1994. This 7-inch is for the song “Dress”, however it contains two more excellent cuts that were only found on this single from what I can tell. I picked this up and another one of their singles awhile back when I was alerted that Parasol practically gives them away for fifty cents, so I figured why the hell not…I like Memory Barge enough. The other single for “Safe to Say” I wasn’t too keen on, but this one is pretty solid. If anything you get to hear two more tracks that you probably haven’t heard before or in a very long time.

I imagine Parasol still has these and judging by how they basically don’t cost anything I am guessing they really want to get rid of them, so check that out if you’re interested. Used copies of the bands full-length are on Amazon in abundant amounts as well.

Great great band! I have the chance to own that 7″ (and the album) which is not quite easy here, in Belgium. Sad they didn’t go on…

it took me years to find this outside of the 7 inch which was also quite difficult. glad to see it on the net
