Built on a Weak Spot

Was a bit surprised to see that this is on Dead Broke Rekerds, I don’t necessarily think of them when it comes to bands that deal in that late 80’s/early 90’s AmRep and Touch & Go sort of noise. However Bad Blood Revival is exactly that and has laid down a pretty awesome record in Tongue Twisting Tunes for Tiny Tots that is part of split release between the Dead Broke and Sweet Dreams Records. Whenever I saw this in their shop online and read the description I was instantly sold. Killdozer? The Jesus Lizard? Say no more. While that doesn’t always mean good results, Bad Blood Revival has certainly lived up to the sort of expectations one would have with those types of hefty name drops. The album is chock full of dirty distortion and riffs that if you’re a fan of noise-rock in the least you should probably seek this fine piece of wax of out and pick it up. Great stuff that already has me looking forward to their upcoming split with the equally fantastic Stupid Party. So be on the look out for that as well. In the meantime enjoy the tunes.
